The Islamorada Sight Seeing Bicycle Tour
The Islamorada Historical Tour is a three hour bike ride that winds through native landscaped covered streets that tell the secrets of over 4,000 years of local history. This 24 mile, easy paced tour makes 10 stops in our tropical island village. If you enjoy history, local culture, outdoors and meeting new people, this is the perfect tour for you.
You will see places that even locals dont know about.
Most fascinating, you will learn how our founding families settled the islands , the hardships they endured to make the Village what it is today. We will take you back when the Indians first lived on these islands and there eventual encounters with the Spaniards. Relive the era when British descents, the Bahamians came to homestead what is now Islamorada. Experience the 1935 hurricane through the stories of the survivors . These settlers started traditions that carry over to the laidback lifestyle we locals enjoy today.
The charge is $40 and includes the use of our bicycles.
